Ghanaian Drummers, Dancers & Musicians — Available Year-Round Across the UK
The Kakatsitsi London All-Stars bring together some of the finest Ghanaian drummers, musicians and dancers based in the UK. The group includes former touring members of Kakatsitsi Master Drummers alongside experienced Ghanaian musicians who have performed with other leading ensembles and now work regularly with Indigenous People.
Based in London and available throughout the year, the All-Stars provide traditional Ghanaian drumming, singing and dance for festivals, cultural and community events, weddings, private functions, corporate events and other celebrations across the UK.
The London All-Stars are led by Nii Kwartei Owoo, leader of the main touring group between 1999 and 2009 and former lead singer of the Wulomei cultural group in Accra.
Ceremonies and Family Celebrations
The Kakatsitsi London All-Stars can also provide music, drumming, singing and dance appropriate to weddings, funerals, outdoorings and other family or community gatherings.
Drawing on musicians from different Ghanaian traditions, performances can be adapted for Ga, Akan and Ewe families, with repertoire and presentation selected to suit the character of the occasion.
