Downs Infants School

“We had a whole day with this group in October 2013 during Black History Month. They worked with all Year 1 and Year2 children. As our children are very young drumming could potentially be quite overwhelming. However, the group managed this aspect very well and the experience was very moving and creative for the children. They were rapt and in awe.

The children learned about a traditional performance art form from another culture, linked drumming to dance expressively and had a whale of a time. The fact that it was African drumming as opposed to any other sort of drumming gave the day an additional dimension and made it extra special. The whole day was a fabulous success and I would wholeheartedly recommend this group to other schools.”
